Been trying to draw a character a day... 

Most of these inspirations are from final fantasy artist Yoshida Akihiko

Hopefully I'll have time and motivation to polish these out using fengzhu's techniques on coloring.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year process

Rough draft: Done in my moleskine sketchbook

Wanted to do a Touhou piece for the card, I guess I wanted to do a touhou piece b/c its been a while since I drew a touhou piece. :D

Lineart 1
I really have a hard time getting the nice lines, this is just solid lines and almost no pressure on the line, which probably gives the drawing more of a flat look...

Lineart 2
More like adding black shadings to the define a little bit of depth, this part is usually quick.

Base Color
I usually just eye ball alot of the colors, but this time I tried to balance out the colors by using flat opaque colors for the base, so that i can get darker shadows when working on the shading.

Shading
Just blotting down shading...pretty much ignoring where the light is located...orz too much work...

EVERYTHING ELSE

.... yup add glowing effects and shiny stuff yay done.
